Ode To My Dog Bugga
Bugga Bugga Bugga Bugga...
Yes those are the final words you hear on the song "My Dog Bugga" on the Names Vol. 1 CD by The Zeros. Edward G (A.K.A BUGGA) was the first Zeros "Mascot", and part of the band's history for the past 10 years (April 4, 1990 - July 2, 2000). Bugga protected The Zeros, and was actually friends with Mr. Insane's cat "Shoo Boo" (also mentioned in the My Dog Bugga song).
For those of you wondering exactly what happened that night - here's the scoop: It was the night before Christmas. I brought my dog with me to Mr. Insane's house to hang out, and while we were in there the 2 animals got into some severe mischief - the entire Christmas Tree came tumbling down!
Needless to day, Bugga was not allowed to attend the Christmas Party after that. Bugga did buy a present for Shoo Boo though. :) Lots of you have emailed me asking "What is the present your dog bought the cat?" Well, it's time to let the cat out of the bag so-to-speak (heh)... it was a bag of Kat-Nip in the shape of a Christmas Tree. :-)
So many shows, so many tours. Bugga was right there with us. If Bugga had a chance to say something to all the fans, it would go something like this:
